Squire 60's Classic Vibe Project

About ten years ago, I purchased a 60's Classic Vibe by Fender Squire. It was a great guitar, right out the box. Years had passed, and I bought and sold many guitars. But one stuck with me all this time. That Classic Vibe. I loved it! But after some time, and getting to know guitars and modifying them, I took another look at my Strat. I wanted to change things up. In this picture, it was pure stock. The first thing I did, was to eliminate all noise and hum. I bought some copper guitar tape. It's thicker than you think. I lined the entire pickup cavities with it. I then noticed the pickup routing. "Hmmmm. A humbucker can fit in that bottom route". So I proceeded to take it all apart, and clean the hell out of it. 0000 Steel wool cleaned the greasy finger smudges from the fretboard. Bottom pic shows how funky it was. And another benefit of the steel wool is that it also polished up the frets. I took all the tuners off and cleaned them up, too. I used a rag with a little
